How to Get Started as a Beginner

For anyone unsure where to find the first number.

At first, look at the rows, columns, and boxes that already have the most numbers filled in. The fewer cells remaining, the easier they are to confirm.

The easiest way to start is 'scanning': pick one number, look at where it's already placed, and narrow down which cells in each box it can still go into.

Start on Easy difficulty and get comfortable with Naked Singles and Hidden Singles, then raise the difficulty — your skills will improve naturally.
